The D.D. Bray Foundation, Inc. in the News

Breast
cancer advocate D.D. Bray recently participated in the evaluation of
research
proposals submitted to the Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP)
sponsored by
the Department of Defense. D.D. was
nominated for participation in the program by the D.D. Bray Foundation
(her
namesake). As a consumer reviewer, she
was a full voting member, along with prominent scientists, at meetings
to
determine how the remainder of Congress’ FYOB appropriation of $138
million
will be spent on future breast cancer research. Click on the

On
Friday,
May 16, 2008, the Alliance
Regional Newspapers provided coverage of our first
recipient. D.D. Bray kept Paula
company as she received her chemotherapy treatment for cancer.
Paula
explained, "D.D. and the foundation have been great! If we
didn't
have this help we'd be on the poverty line. It was such a
relief
for me. If it wasn't for the foundation, there is no way I
could
pay for it. I would just have to do without." |
